Silver Software, developers of safety critical software, based in UK, India and Spain today announced their on-going merger with the Technology and Systems business of Atena Engineering Gmbh, based in Munich, Germany. The new organisation will form one of the world’s largest independent high integrity systems company with over 500 highly skilled engineers.

With Silver Software’s 10 year track record of delivering successful software projects on major programmes such as the Airbus A380, Boeing 787, Joint Strike Fighter and the European Rail Traffic Management System, Silver Software can now look to harbour its aerospace, defence and rail experience to the major benefit of the now accessible automotive and gas turbines industry through Atena who’s clients include the BMW Group, Daimler, Airbus, EADS and MTU Aero Engines.

Atena, an experienced systems developer and integrator will be merging their German capabilities with Silver Software’s UK, Spain and Indian development centers allowing access to a new rail domain currently untapped.

Silver Software and Atena Engineering Gmbh have proven their capabilities together through a partnership set up to support growth into new markets and new service offerings. Discussions were entered into to formalise this partnership for the mutual benefit of both companies.
